    Interfaith Mission
    14 of us

    12/11-15 Festival of the Trees
    28 of us

We will be bell ringing on December 17 in front of the Corner Room for the benefit of the Interfaith Mission. We still have a couple of times to sign up for.
  • The Festival of the Trees is coming up this weekend. The days are December 11-15. We will be working hte food kitchen/concession stand. Members are asked to make cookiesand other baked goods. If any are peanut free lable them as such.
  • On December 19, Meg and Clark Moose will be hosting our club's holiday get together. Time is from 6 until 9 pm. Their home is in the Teaberry Ridge part of town.Directions were passed out at the past meeting.
  • The International RYLA Convention is in Brisbane Australia May 29- June 1, 2003
  • The club has a list serv. All active members are on it. The email address for it is SCDTROTARY-L@LISTS.PSU.EDU. It only works if you are a subscriber so if you aren't on it and want to know even more about the club email Paul Rutter to see about your admission. It is a private listserv not open to the public. If you are already on it and want help with it please call or email me.
  • The treasurers report indicated we are in the black.
  • The fund raising committee is all set to draw a winner for the big cruise raffle next week. Please get your stubs and money in to MaryAnn Eberly or Hugh Mose. We all were given 19 tickets to sell.
  • The fund raising committee passed out tickets for use to
    Tom Murray Oct 2002
    Linda Friedman Sept 2002
    Scott Rawson August 2002
    Ranier Domalski July 2002
sell for the cruise raffle. The cruise doesn't have a date it has be taken within. The value of the cruise is $3500. Winners can arrange a round that. It should be good enough though, for airfare from Harrisburg to a carribbean cruise port, and a cruise of 7 days. The second prize is a 27" color TV; 3rd prize is a cash award of $250.
  • In January we will place orders for Rotary polo shirts and long sleeve denim shirts. These will have the club logo similar to the shirts we had made about three years ago.
  • A new member has been approved by the board. His name is known to the members and after a ten day examination/waiting period to have members offer comments on the proposal membership will be extended to him.
  • The Club Web site went away temporarily. But through the kindness of a local Internet Service Provider (Centre of the Web) and my own business (Paul Rutter Web Design) the club Web site is back on the Internet. The new address is http://www.centreweb.com/rotary/club/index.html. There are a few bugs to work out with files that are missing as a result of our old ISP going out of business without notice. I hope to have them back in place or create new ones as soon as finals week and the semester end is over and time allows. Many thanks to Vicon for the threee years of service we did get from them at no charge.
  • Nominations for club offices and board memberships are being accepted. Please contact anyone on the nominating committee if yo uare internested.
