Linda Marshall from the Housing Co-ordinator of Centre County Affordable
Housing Coalition
Linda showed a video and then answered questions. The video put a face
on needs for housing in Centre County. It was produced by Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America. It is very difficult to afford housing in
Centre County expecially for people on fixed incomes, single moms, homes
for families, renters, and disabled.
Affordable Housing defined: No more than 30 percent of gross income is
for housing.
CCAHC fosters relationships with landlords and renters.
They have developed a resource guide and prepare renters ahead of time
how to approach landlords.
The third annual housing summit will be October 28 at Foxdale.

If
we only listen to those whom we already see eye to eye, we will
never create better understanding, a concept that is at the
core of Rotary.
-Martin G Molony, District 1160 Governor, Dublin Central, Ireland
in The
Rotarian, January 2006

"Of
the things we think, say or do:
Is
it the TRUTH?
Is
it FAIR to all concerned?
Will
it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will
it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
