The evening club is peddling tickets to their turkey drive home dinner
Anyone who would like to purchase a Rotary shirt should sign up for
one before the end of September.
Chcuk Gambomne celebrates his 21st anniversary of club membership
Jim Eberly has been nominated for district governor for 2012-2013
Dick Held will be chairing Polio Plus and the Foundation
Dick Jones is celebrating a birthday this month.
District Governor Joe White will be visiting our club on September 10th.
Officers and Board members please arrive half-hour early to meet with
him.
There was discussion about a joint fellowship meeting with the other
Rotary clubs in the area.
On September 12, there will be a Rotary Foundation seminar
Jim has given Carl $7,565 for the Dining & Entertainment Books.
Paul Rutter is still ahead in selling them. He has turned in the money
for 57 books. Keep selling them!
If you are not receiving club emails via the listserv, contact Paul
Rutter. The problem may be an incorrect email address on the club
listserv directory.
The club was able to sponsor someone for the GSE trip to Puerto Rico
this summer. The exchange is for Spanish language teachers. The one we
sponsored is Maggie Muir se instructa espanol para la colegio de State
College.
Thanks to everyone who has helped work
the gates before the PSU home football games in previous years. There
is time now to think about working the gates for 8 home games this year.
Thanks to Roger Dunlop, Brad Schmitt, Kat Snowe (from our club) and husband
Dave from the breakfast club, and Tineke Cunning from the breakfast club,
Hugh Mose and wife Janyce, my wife Anne, and Meg Moose for having one
of her colleagues and many other helpers for helping
us fill the slate for some of the games this year. There are a few openings
left for the 2009 season. You get free field seats and
parking passes for helping. If you are interested in helping next year
for the 2009 season let me know to reserve your spot. For more information
on what we do and to be the list for next year ask Paul
863-3387 office.

All makeup's are good for credit toward
meetings missed 14 days before or 14 days after the makeup. Makeup's made
at other Rotary Club meetings also get a dues credit. Makeup's at service
projects get attendance credit only. All makeup cards should be turned
into the club secretary promptly. To find out where you can makeup, check
the RI Club Directory, or District Web site.
