Previous Week's Speaker: Classification Talk- Kelly Kerner

Our speaker today was Kelly Kerner giving her classification talk.Kelly started off by scaring her husband with a promise to tell the real truth about how they met and their whirlwind romance through Europe.
Kelly is from Cooperstown NY home of the baseball Hall of Fame. She said that it was a great place to grow up.. Her father is a retired teacher and her mom a business owner. Kelly has three siblings. Kelly was active in sports through highschool and was strong enough to earn a scholarship to Penn State to play division 1 field hockey and she received an academic scholarship too. Go grrrrl!
She and her husband Chris, (also a Rotarian), have two children, Clark who is ten and Anastacia who is 8.
Kelly revealed much about her meeting her husband athe ShandiGaff on dollar pitcher night, dumping her then boyfriend of two years to be wit the man she fell instantly in love with. (and he likewise-not the boyfriend part though)
Through Chris being an officer in the Army and Kelly traveling through Europe on Eurail passes they were married. They eloped to Denmark, spent their wedding night in an army pup tent and their honeymoon cottage was a guard shack on an army base.
For professional purposes, Kelly works in development for PSU as a researcher assisting development officers in their calling efforts. She has been with PSU through the entire 1.3 billion fund drive. (This fund drive success I might add is unparrelled by other public institutions!!)
