Happy Bucks PDG Carol was happy three times, 1 for NPR and the Global Fund for Children. A former Ambassadorial Scholar to Africa began the GFC and has raised over 12 million dollars for needy children. Also her daughter in law is in Iraq safely now and her son is in Kirkuk, Iraq and is settling in.Laurel was happy for her oldest daughter and knowledge masters and for being the editor of a national magazineLinda was happy about speaking to a group of architects in Boston.

Thanks to everyone who has helped work the gates before the PSU home football games. There are no more openings for helping this year. Thanks to Roger Dunlop, Kat Snowe and husband Dave from the breakfast club, Bob Williams, Hugh Mose and wife Janyce, Nicole Webster from the breakfast club, Tineke Cuning and husband Jack from Breakfast club, my wife Anne, Meg Moose for having one of her colleagues and many other helpers for helping us fill the slate for all games. For more information on what we do and to be on a waiting list for Indiana or Michigan State ask Paul 863-3387 office. Your get free field seats and parking passes for helping. Samantha Futhey, a freshman at Penn State returned from Finalnd where she spent last year. She was on the Baltic Sea coast between Helsinki and the Russian border. It was cold and chilly. She visited Lapland and saw the Northern Lights.

In Finland, the folks are shy. They use the Euro and are in the EU. They do open up to you once they know you. For food, potatoes were a food staple in every meal. Herring and fish were often served too. The language is hard to learn but many people speak English. The Rotarians were extremely nice to her. She stayed with two host families.

Carl Hill had us preview his exchange student recruiting presentation. He and Doug will be using the slides to recruit the outbound student for the next exchange.
