Previous Week's Speaker: Jake Corman spoke about legislative matters

Today we were fortunate to have Senator Jake Corman address the crowd.

Jake spoke mainly about broadband and healthcare issues and fielded several questions related to healthcare. Jake did talk about taxes and the tax shift from the current payers to whoever the new payers would be. Oneof the interesting things he said about healthcare was trying to look at both sides.

“If we only listen to those whom we already see eye to eye, we will never create better understanding, a concept that is at the core of Rotary.”
-Martin G Molony, District 1160 Governor, Dublin Central, Ireland
    in The Rotarian, January 2006

"Of the things we think, say or do:

    Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
