LAST WEEK IN REVIEW

Apologies for an abbreviated newsletter, I'm in Sweden and Denmark.-Paul
International Conference 2006

Visiting Rotarians: Mr. Sherwani from the Islamabad Rotary club, Jan Hill from Pleasant Gap, Lefty McIntire from the evening club and Joe Hasert from Altoona
Make-ups turned in:
Guests: Kim Esber from Esber's Rugs, a guest of Don Bedell; and our front-end manager from the spaghetti dinner fundraiser, Kate Eberly. Kate is also the daughter of Jim and a former youth exchange student to South America.
50/50: Bob Williams came oh so close with the King of Spades but he missed and there will be about $1750 to split. There will only be 13 cards next time. It would be swell if we skip the 50/50 this coming week!)
Auction: We had two of them. One from Hugh Mose, a vase of mums and an assortment of gardening things including knee pads. Chcuk was able to auctions these away amid many laughs for $35 to LInda Friedman. A second item was from Meg Moose, a wine special of an Australian chardonnay and another selection called fish eye. Both went fora high bid of $25 to Rainer Domalski.
