Bucks from: • Meg Moose whose grandparents live in Foxdale Village are celebrating 76 years of marriage and are reaching the ages of 100 for her grandfather and 99 for her grandmother this year. • Laurel Sanders let us know that Barbie Collins has joined Optical Image Technology • Pam Ferguson was happy to report that her daughter, soon to be graduated from Ga. Tech, has already received one job offer from Milliken, a huge world wide textile firm headquartered in Spartanburg, SC (where Paul's dad lives) • Don Bedell let us know that his company will begin operating 94.5 FM- smooth jazz here in Centre County-(a definitely needed change of sound from what exists here on the weekdays) • Jana King's daughter Barbara, who actually uses the name Jana gave her, will be on an episode of Law and Order Special Victims Unit this week. • and Judy Myrick spent her last day with Omega Bank this week and will begin with Northwest Savings on Feb. 28.

We have two new members almost, Lester and Jean, who have each passed their ten day periods. So congratualtiosn to them. Induuctions will be before too long, and jsut in time for the new member orientation with Paul Bell

Paul Bell is conducting new member orientation, Wednesday, February 22nd, at Damon's, at 11:45-1:15.(Same room as our regular luncheon meeting). Lunch will be provided.

Our club's next monthly board meeting will be held at the Autoport, at 8AM, Tuesday the 7th of March.

Don Bedell, Ray Papale, and Jim Eberly made announcements regarding the upcoming spaghetti dinner: Jim says to sell tickets, Ray says he is pounding the streets speaking with local merchants for silent auction items, and Don mentioned that he is assumptively closing all those past contributors for ad placements on our placemat for the event.

It is not too early to register for the District Assembly and the District Conference.

Spaghetti dinner, (March 22) tickets were passed out by Jim Eberly.

Auction items for the event are being sought by Ray Papale.

Coupon sales are going well. Some have been sold by mail. Extras can be picked up from Tracy Sepich.

Quarterly bills were distributed by Carl Hill. The Club needs the money.

Sell Sell Sell your coupon books. Paul made a flier that might help sell these things which actually sell themselves: 49 coupons for various values in town! Contact Rotarian Dr. Tracy Sepich to get your coupon books. Her office is over by Lowes and the old Philatelic building.

Point your web browser to: http://www.rotaryeclubone.org/index.html click on programs and follow the directions to do make-ups with the e-club. At the end, you print out your make up slip and submit it to current secretary Linda Friedman.

Previous Week's Speaker: Baritone Keith Phares & Pianist Michael Baitzer

Keith Phares, an impressive young baritone, with a growing body of credits on both opera and concert stages performed for us at the Foxdale Villahe auditorium. He has performed with the Metropolitan and New York City operas. Last season he sang with the Washington National, Arizona, Santa Fe, and Boston Lyric operas and at Spoleto Festival USA. His Penn State appearance, which includes three days of residency activities, is through the auspices of the Marilyn Horne Foundation.

Accompanying Keith was Michael Baitzer on piano. Michael is a faculty member of Juliard School of Music.
