LAST WEEK IN REVIEW

Visiting Rotarians:
Make-ups turned in: Pretty much all of us from workign the spaghetti dinner
Guests:
Randy Phillips, a guest of Dick Jones
50/50: There are 35 cards left to draw from for a pot of about $400. Marshall drew the 4 of hearts.

Auction: Chris Potalivo donated a flight over New York City and back with dinner that was won by Dick Held for $200. Chris was pretty cool about the bidding that went really high and offered to provide the same flight and dinner for Roger Fetter, the second of two really high bidders for the same $200 bid. A second auction fora flight instruction book was won by Chris for $20.

No... just joking a second auction item- a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble- went for $22 to Marshall Goldstein. I'm not sure who the contributor was.

Previous Week's Speaker: Paul Rutter with a preview of the GSE presentation

Our speaker was me, Paul Rutter.

We learned a little bit about the presentation the team of Bob Williams, Joy Bridy, Pam Brennan and myself will be giving four or five times a week next month in South Korea as guests of District 3630. Without blabbing too much, the presentation is online at the district Web site and right here in power point.

The goal of the presentation was to be high in graphics since there is a language barrier. We are also trying to make the slides interactive at times, instead of a boring lecture style format. We do this by including objects that reflect on Korean culture as part of America's melting pot too.

Here's the link to the GSE show in power point.
