Auction: Chris Potalivo donated two tickets tot he men's basketball game. They were won by Hugh Mose for $11. Richard Jones doanted a steam vacuum which was won by Rose Kauffman for 425. Darren Johnston provided a gift certificate to the Deli which was won by Rainer Domalski for $25.

  • Previous Mystery member's experience: He/she won $900 on Dialing for Dollars in Philadelphia when he was 14 years old and changed the rules of tthe game by doing so.click for answer
  • The football pool was won by Dick Held. The club took hald the money and Dick got the other half!
  • Carl Hill reported the net income from the Festival of the Trees- $1177.16! Results were depressed due to the blizzard on the final day and the festival closed early.
  • Linda Friedman reported that the coupon books sale has already reached the breakeven mark. Keep selling!!
  • Three Rotarians were presented with Paul Harris Fellowships at the December 11 meeting-Brian Christian, Jan Hill, and Meg Moose.
  • Four unnamed person were mentioned as having started the path toward Paul Harris Fellowships by becoming sustaining Paul Harris Fellows
  • Jim Delong was inducted into the club. He was sponsored by Kelly Kerner, Chris Kerner, and Judy Myrick.
  • Football 50/50 fundraiser is underway. Get your card/choices back to Paul by December 22. $5 per card.
  • Russ Brooks' badge turned from Red to Blue in recognition of his completing new members functions.
  • Keep selling your coupon books. There is a prize for the top coupon book seller. Bring in the GREEN!
  • The GSE team was selected. Four of the team members/alternates are from State College. One is from Lewisburg, and one from Huntingdon. The team leader is from our club.
  • Our club has been approached by the Evening Club to start an Interact Club. A meeting is being coordinated to get something happening at the High School.
  • The evening Rotary club now has a list serv like us. Their address is RotaryEvening-L@lists.psu.edu. Contact Mary Johnston if you want to be added to their list.
  • The club has a list serv. All active members are on it. The email address for it is SCDTROTARY-@LISTS.PSU.EDU. Email Paul Rutter to see about your admission. It is a private listserv not open to the public. If you are already on it and want help with it please call or email me.

Previous Week's Speaker: Club Assembly

This past week we had a club assembly.
The Rotary Foundation committee and Polio Plus is led by Linda Friedman. Linda told us about a Peace and Conflict Resolution school. The coupon books are on going. If you need more coupon books let Linda know.
We received a thank you note from the Rose Bowl Parade Committee.
Jana King announced the Art Auction for the Clare Fund.
Geoff spoke about the District Rotaract Committee. He proposed a joint meeting between evening and lunch clubs.
We have a new slate of Officers for next year:

All makeup's are good for credit toward meetings missed 14 days before or 14 days after the makeup. Makeup's made at other Rotary Club meetings also get a dues credit. Makeup's at service projects get attendance credit only. All makeup cards should be turned into the club secretary promptly.
